About What is this site? This site, essentially, has zips of modified StarCraft portraits to be used for campagin creators. The portraits (the smacker files that are used to replace portraits in StarCraft) at this site are free for use. If you wish to use them you do not need to mail us but you DO NEED to supply sufficient credit in your campaign, preferably in the readme file or a level within the campaign. The text 'Modified portraits supplied by the Star Alliance (http://alliance.net-games.com).' would be good enough. What do I need to do when sending in a portrait? If you send in your portraits, please do the following: *Include your name *Include one jpeg image of your modified portrait in the zip. *Name the zip as '[YOURNAME]-[PORTRAITNAME]' (Not the animations themselves- the zip file). It makes things much easier for us, especially for the directory of zips. That's all. :) How can I ask for a specific portrait to be modified? If you need a portrait modified to certain colours and it's not available here, then we suggest you visit the Star Alliance's forum, go to the Wanted section and make a new post there and ask. Please supply as much detail as possible. Most of the staff here browse that forum occasionally so they should get to work on it for you rather promptly. |
