How
will everything operate?
Regarding uploading, the best method so far, I believe, is going to be using Star Alliance member Pyromaniac. He has plenty of free hard disk space, cable and most messaging software. The contestants will need to contact him and send the campaign to him. He will check it qualifies, then upload to 50megs for the judges. The judges will divide the campaigns between themselves and rate the campaigns out of 10. They will then decide a first place overall winner, as well as second and third places. The winner will have their campaign (Only the submitted version) kept on this site, free for download. How to contact Pyromaniac: FlammieTheMagicalDragon (AIM) vesper_ii@hotmail.com (MSN) 55517719 (ICQ) jeriatric@home.com vesper_ii@hotmail.com (E-Mail) Can I do anything else with my campaign? A general question asked by dine on the SA forum to which I answer: yes, but it does not really concern us. Feel free to continue a submitted campaign, whether into another round (and thus keeping heroes) and still maintaining the criteria or into a full blown campaign with sounds, music and voices on your own. We do not own any submitted campaigns- it is your work which you own. All we do is state the criteria for each round, review the entries and host the winner's submitted campaign. Metaphorically, as I said, think of it like submitting a painting to an art gallery competition. :) Do I need to name my campaign the same as you have? No, not at all, though you may. The titles we make just reflect the name of the rounds, giving them a subtitle that refers to the events or location we give in the criteria. Why should I enter? Why shouldn't you? The competition lets you prove you've got what it takes to make a campaign. You can gain recognition for your skills. Perhaps as well, this will get started on creating your own campaign if you've previously been stuck in a mental block trying to come up with ideas. Of course, it's for fun too- seeing how different people interpret and carry out the criteria will be extremely interesting for judges, spectators and contestants alike. Finally, it's a last boost of efforts for our revered community as it comes to a close. :) |
