Round
1 is on!
Welcome to
the Campaign Competitions website!
Round 1 has begun- be sure to check it out if you are taking part. The
judges are ready, as is the criteria- all we need now is contestants.
Apply today! If you wish to sign up, either visit the SA General forum
and see the relevant thread ('Campaign Competition- Sign up Thread', I
believe), or mail Magic with
your nickname and email address. We will add you you to the Contestants
page once we recieve the information.
Judges:
i.e. the names you put on your cheques. :)
The following are the current judges for the competition. It is their
job to review the campaigns and debate whom is the winner of each round.
*Magic
*Thrillias
*Adun ("What do you think of this campaigns
style Adun?" "8)!" "Good huh? Yeah, I agree."
"8)")
How
will everything operate?
Regarding uploading, the best method so far, I believe, is going to be
using Star Alliance member Pyromaniac.
He has plenty of free hard disk space, cable and most messaging software.
The contestants will need to contact him and send the campaign to him.
He will check it qualifies, then upload to 50megs for the judges. The
judges will divide the campaigns between themselves and rate the campaigns
out of 10. They will then decide a first place overall winner, as well
as second and third places. The winner will have their campaign (Only
the submited version) kept on this site, free for download.
How to contact Pyromaniac:

Can I do anything
else with my campaign?
A general question asked by dine on the SA forum to which I answer:
yes, but it does not really concern us. Feel free to continue a submited
campaign, whether into another round (and thus keeping heroes) and still
maintaining the criteria or into a full blown campaign with sounds, music
and voices on your own. We do not own any submited campaigns- it is your
work which you own. All we do is state the criteria for each round, review
the entries and host the winner's submited campaign. Metaphorically, as
I said, think of it like submiting a painting to an art gallery competition.
:)
Do
I need to name my campaign the same as you have?
No, not at all, though you may. The titles we make just reflect the name
of the rounds, giving them a subtitle that refers to the events or location
we give in the criteria.
(Above questions will be moved to the About section by Round 2)
